THE WHITE Tigers were in seventh heaven after being Whitehawk 7-2 at Treyew Road.
It was a commanding and comprehensive performance by Lee Hodges’ side as we swept away our struggling opponents with some free-flowing football and neat interplay.
We were able to get our noses in front on eight minutes as Noah Keats found the net following a slick move.
The second arrived on 16 minutes when some good link-up play on the left ended with Tyler Harvey presented with an opportunity which he dispatched.
The visitors were able to reduce the arrears shortly afterwards but Keats hit back with a crucial goal to make it 3-1 going into the break.
Keats completed his hat-trick on 55 minutes to really put us in the driving seat as we started the second half with real purpose and determination.
After Tom McHale had saved well to thwart the visitors, Cody Coode strode through to make it 5-1 on the hour-mark with a goal that oozed confidence.
There was an own goal by former Torquay United defender, Oneil Odofin to make it six as the visitors struggled to clear their lines from a corner.
Lamont went close to adding a seventh as his strike was well saved from close range.
On 82 minutes, Liam Gordon was able to pull a goal back for his side with a neat finish after The White Tigers had been guilty of pressing forward in search of more goals.
McHale has work to do soon afterwards to deny Davies, but normal service was resumed when a corner found its way to Alex Hartridge who got his name on the scoresheet to make it 7-2.
Substitute, Niall Thompson, went close late on as we were able to make it four wins in a row to continue our march.
