Chelmsford City 2-0 Truro City

Chelmsford City geared up perfectly for this Saturday's FA Trophy test at Tranmere Rovers with a 2-0 win at home to Truro City.
The Clarets answered manager Rod Stringer's call to put their defeat at Ebbsfleet United behind them quickly by beating the White Tigers, as second half goals from Elliott Buchanan and Shaun Jeffers sealed victory for the Clarets.
Stringer made four changes from the Ebbsfleet match, with Danny Blanchett, Elliott Buchanan, Shaun Jeffers and Kane Haysman coming in for Matt Young, Chris Dickson, Max Cornhill and Bagasan Graham.
The hosts had the first chance of the half when Robbie Willmott saw his effort from a tight angle deflected out.
The next opportunity fell to the visitors, but a superbly-timed challenge from Mark Haines made sure that Niall Thompson could not supply a cross.
Thompson was involved again, when the speedy striker beat the offside trap to follow a long-ball, but his lobbed effort went wide after he spotted Ross Fitzsimons off his line.
The tactical tweak had its effect when the Clarets should have broken the deadlock. Buchanan's driven cross smacked into Jeffers, who had plenty of space at the far post, but the ball dropped just wide of the upright.
Chelmsford had loud claims for a penalty waved away when Haines' low drive hit the post before Jeffers was bundled over inside the area.
The Clarets began the second half in opposite fashion to the first, and their quick start quickly troubled the visitors but Church's rapid cross evaded Jeffers.

However, soon after City went ahead as Buchanan volleyed home Willmott's cross on 50 minutes.
The striker almost added a second as he darted between two Truro defenders, but he dragged his effort wide.
The visitors had a golden chance to equalise when Thompson squeezed his way into space on the by-line, however, his final touch knocked the ball out of play.
The fast-paced action continued in the final quarter of the game when Thompson drilled a cross past Fitzsimons but no one could tap it home.
But the result was put beyond doubt with ten minutes to go as Jeffers' shot ricocheted off Pugh before beating keeper Martin Rice.
