Falmouth Town relishing friendly clash

Source West Briton:

Falmouth Town chairman Steve Kimberley has revealed how he is relishing welcoming Blue Square South newcomers Truro City to Bickland Park this summer.

The old Cornish rivals will clash in an evening kick-off in Falmouth on Tuesday, July 12th.
And, while the game will provide a useful run-out for Lee Hodges' men ahead of their first ever season in the sixth tier of English football, Kimberley hopes the game will also remind fans that watching games in Falmouth is just as appealing.
He said: "When I was a kid growing up, if Chelsea were away you would go and watch Fulham.
"Wouldn't it be great if, when Truro are away, they decided to come and watch Falmouth?
"I'm delighted that Truro will be coming to Bickland Park in July, and I'm sure it is going to be a great evening of football. Hopefully it will win us a few more friends and there will be one or two more neutral supporters coming down to watch us next season."

Kick off is 7.45pm Tuesday 12th July.
